We are a small family run business: Andrew, Carolyn, and Samantha Cree. We make the Thai curry packs in our kitchen in Guisborough, North Yorkshire.We have been in business for 5 years and supply delis, farm shops , butchers, and local independent shops in North Yorkshire. Our customers include Lewis and Cooper (Northallerton, Yarm) Country Butchers (Harrogate), Langtons (Ripon), Deli by the Green (Stokesley), Roots Farm Shop (Northallerton). At tastings we have spoken with many customers visiting North Yorkshire on holiday who have wanted to order our curry packs on their return home- so we decided to build a website to supply customers beyond North Yorkshire.
The blend of aromatic whole spices and paste in each pack was originally created by Andrew and a few Thai friends in the early 1990s while students at the London School of Economics. Over the years the blend of whole spices has been refined and improved to the current popular blends. Over the years of throwing dinner parties our friends and family asked for the Thai curry blends and we realised there was a demand for authentic Thai curry packs made with generous quantities of curry paste and aromatic whole spices.
In the first year of business we realised that customers have different tastes in terms of how hot and spicy they like their curries. So we introduced into our packs two 20g bags of paste. This allows each customer to decide how mild or hot to make their curry (it can even be adapted for the kids: you can make it very mild and then put some of the curry into another pan and add more paste for those family members who like it with a kick).
